Why West Brompton Attractions you ?

For tourists visiting London, deciding where to stay can be a very tricky issue as one has to consider many things like budget, ease of transport, attractions, shopping centres and eateries etc before booking a short term let apartment. And very often one usually likes to stay in an area that offers the best of all the things delineated above since it makes travelling easy and exciting allowing one to explore the city as per one’s convenience.

A predominately residential area located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, West Brompton (post code SW10) is as affluent neighbourhood just like its nearby areas of West Kensington, Earl's Court, Chelsea and Fulham. Though not as popular like its surrounding neighbourhood, the area nonetheless has its own charm which has made it a preferred destination among tourists seeking holiday apartments to stay when in London.

West Brompton Attractions

A relatively quite area, West Brompton is largely known for having one of the highest concentrations of restaurants in entire London. This acts as a big boon for guests who don’t like to cook in their holiday homes after a hard day’s work.  Furthermore, the area also prides itself as having some of London’s lesser known attractions like the mid 19th century Brompton Cemetery which its grand dome chapel is reminiscent of the St. Paul’s basilica in Rome and forms a part of the Magnificent Seven - the term applied to the seven large cemeteries in London.  The Royal British Society of Sculptors is also worth visiting as is the Brompton Library from where you can rent out a book and read it in the close confines of your apartment. In addition to these, one can also pay a visit to Carlyle House, the Chelsea FC Stadium, the Rock archive Gallery, Finborough Theatre and Chelsea Old Church almost others.

Nearby Places

·         Besides West Brompton, tourists visit London can also think of renting a serviced apartment near its surrounding areas of:
·         Battersea
·         Chelsea – to the east of West Brompton
·         Earls Court –to the north of West Brompton
·         Fulham- to the west of West Brompton
·         Fulham Broadway - to the south of West Brompton
·         South Kensington
·         Walham Green
·         Wandsworth

West Kensington – to the north of West Brompton

All these areas are known to have some of the best holiday rentals in the town. Guests who book these apartments can hope to stay in Victorian styled houses that have wide and spacious rooms with elegant furnishings, open terraces, bathrooms and kitchens with all amenities etc.

Getting to West Brompton

Location wise, the West Brompton neighbourhood is well placed with both the London over ground and underground running through it. West Brompton is served by the district line with its station strategically located between Earl's Court and Fulham Broadway stations. Likewise, the national rail station is between Kensington (Olympia ) and Imperial Wharf stations.

( 3 April to 26 May ) IPL Auction - Who Went Where

This year IPL auction like the previous year’s threw its shares of surprise –some expected, some unexpected. Will the players be able to live to the expectations of their franchisees? Only time will tell.

Just like the IPL matches, the IPL auction is another event which gives the same high to the cricket fans as just its games. Held along the lines of the English premier league, the IPL auction which is held at-least a month or two before the much awaited games begin sees players being sold to the highest bidders has always been a see saw event where lesser known players are snatched for a high price while known players are known to have been left behind.

Winners & Losers of IPL Auction

Always a bag of surprise and often a case of heated discussions amongst the connoisseurs of the game, this year IPL auction is no different.  Just like its previous avatars, the 2013 IPL auction has lived up to its unpredictability.  While known players like Michael Clarke and Ricky Pointing went for a price of $800000 in between them, a relatively unknown player like Glen Maxwell has hit the jackpot with $1 million as did  players like Ajantha Mendis, Abhishek Nayyar and Kane Richardson who went for $ 675000-725000 in between them.  However, the biggest story which has got cricket pundits taking about is the presence of two giants of today’s cricketing world –Ricky Pointing and Sachin Tendulkar -both of whom will be playing for the same team-the Mumbai Indians! How much magic they both can create is something which people are eagerly waiting for as are the various franchisees who, too are waiting to see if the players they had bid for do justice for the price they had paid for.
Auction over, Now wait for the live action

So, if you want to catch these players in action, we suggest that you book your accommodation in the various service and holiday apartments located near the match venues well in advance to avoid disappointment for you can be sure that the stadiums will be full with fans coming from within the country & abroad.
